Pepper Tree Project

Danny_Michael_Together_at_Chipper.jpg

Pepper Tree Project - In Cooperation with the County of Ventura Parks, the Piru Wildfire group has a workday on Monday February 15, 2021 from 8:30 am - 4pm. This job will consist of limbing up any dead material that deems a hazard to life and property. There will be chainsaw and chipping in the area. Designated street and caution signs will be posted to ensure public safety. PNC Lights & Sirens Committee Volunteer / Piru Wildfire Liaison, Michael J Lopez and PNC Parks, Recreation, Public Works Committee Volunteer / Ventura County Parks Management Danny Ramirez, with be the job site managers on this project. Volunteers are needed, please contact PNC Wildfire Liaison at piruwildfireprevention@gmail.com

Update : Thank you to Piru Wildfire Liaison Michael Lopez, and Piru Parks, Recreation and Public Works Liaison Danny Ramirez, for initiating and organizing the Pepper Tree Project by Phil’s Animals. The trees were so thick and overgrown and your team of volunteers really made it look easy !. 3 chainsaws were going including one operated by our very own PNC VP Ken Wiseman, along with 4 Forest Services volunteers serving our town on their own time. How amazing is that ! Danny kept fast pace on the chipper as the branches kept coming. Michael’s 10 year old son was a great help as well. We also thank Ventura County Firefighters Engine 28 for the help on this project.
